Southern Pepsi Roast

3-4 lbs. beef roast

1 can golden mushroom or cream of mushroom soup

1 tablespoon Tony Chachere’s brown gravy mix

2 tablespoons water

1 envelope dry onion soup mix

2 cups Pepsi or other cola (do not use diet)

 

Directions:

 

Place roast in slow cooker.

Top the roast with golden mushroom soup.

Mix brown gravy and water in a small bowl until smooth.

Once brown gravy mixture is smooth add dry onion soup mix and stir until well blended.

Top the roast with brown gravy and dry onion soup mixture. Place desired vegetables around roast and then pour the Pepsi over roast.

For frozen roast cook on LOW for 2 hours and HIGH for 7-8 hours or until plastic cooking spoon cuts through the roast.

For defrosted roast cook on HIGH for 6 hours or until plastic cooking spoon cuts through the roast.
