Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
2 tablespoons margarine
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
a pinch of salt
8 cups popcorn or 6 microwave bags
Directions:
Put sugar, corn syrup, and margarine into pot and stir on low heat until mixture comes to a boil.
Cook covered for 2 minutes. Remove cover and cook until mixture reaches 240 degrees. Remove from heat and add vanilla and salt. Stir in vegetable coloring if desired. Put popcorn into large bowl and pour corn syrup mixture over in a thin stream stirring with wooden spoon to coat. Shape into balls. Keep hands wet with cold water to prevent sticking.
